Simplex is a Lauritz Knudsen Franchisee for Enersys Panels. We build Enersys panels in our own facility, to the Enersys design, to IEC 61439-1 and 61439-2. Here is what that means for you, and what the range offers.

A Verified Design, Built Close to You

Under IEC 61439, a panel needs a verified design and a routine-verified build. With Enersys, the design comes from Lauritz Knudsen, and we build, test and commission each panel to it.

You get both halves:

  • The design and its verification from Lauritz Knudsen.
  • Engineering to your single line diagram, the build, routine testing and site support from a team you can call and visit.

What the Catalogue Says

The figures below are from the Lauritz Knudsen Enersys catalogue. The rating for your panel depends on its configuration, and we confirm it in the offer.

Feature Enersys
Certification IEC 61439-1 and 2, and IEC 61641
Busbar Rating Up to 5000 A, in Aluminium or Copper
Short-Circuit Rating 80 kA for 1 second
Internal Arc 70 kA for 0.5 second
Forms of Separation Up to Form 4b
Degree of Protection IP43 and IP54
Seismic Zone 5 Compliance
Other Approvals RoHS and ASTA Certified
ACB Feeder Width From 500 mm
Corrosion Tests Damp Heat Cycle (IEC 60068-2-30) and Salt Mist (IEC 60068-2-11)

An optional glass door with IK10 impact rating is also offered. It is not part of the standard Enersys offer.

Compact Where It Counts

Panel room space costs money. The catalogue points to ACB feeder widths from 500 mm, flexible cable alley location and a choice of busbar location, so a board can be arranged around your room rather than the other way round.

Smartcomm: The Digital Side

Enersys comes with Smartcomm, Lauritz Knudsen’s set of digital tools across the life of the panel:

  • Design: electrical installation sizing and simulation.
  • Build and Commission: configuration software and communication testing.
  • Operate: communication-ready panels with Energy Monitoring (EMS) and Power Management (PMS) software.
  • Predict and Maintain: Smartcomm PREDICT for maintenance, with thermal monitoring of panel health, energy use and temperature.

Where Enersys Fits

Lauritz Knudsen positions Enersys for industry, emerging industries, residential and commercial buildings, and water and wastewater. Those are the same sectors we work in, from sugar and steel to city water schemes.
