Bareilly Smart City: Water Supply Automation
City-wide automation of 150+ Tube Wells and Overhead Tanks for Energy Saving, on Siemens WinCC Classic with GIS Mapping and a Mobile App.
The programme
Bareilly draws its water from Tube Wells feeding Overhead Tanks across the city. The Smart City programme set out to cut the energy these sites use and to run the whole network from one place.
What we did
We automated more than 100 Tube Wells and 50 Overhead Tanks, with the Instrumentation and Civil Works at every site. The network runs on Siemens WinCC Classic, with a Siemens S7-1500 PLC in the Master Control Room. Every site is mapped on GIS, and operators follow the network on a Mobile App.
